Abstract | The distance to the Galactic center is estimated on the basis of a new compilation of distance data for Galactic globular clusters. Three different ways of using the space distribution of clusters lead to a distance to the Galactic center equal to 8.5 + or - 1.0 kpc. Consideration is given to the space distribution of clusters in the Galactic nuclear region. |
