Abstract Photoelectrically calibrated B,V photographic photometry to 18.5 mag is reported for over 1000 stars in a 13 arc min diameter field centered on the globular cluster M12. The color-magnitude diagram is found to be similar to the one for M13. Attention is drawn to a "gap" in the blue end of the horizontal branch. The reddening is estimated at E(B-V)=0.17 +/- 0.03 and the distance modulus is (m-M)o=13.8 +/- 0.15 [Mv(RR)=+0.6].
