| Abstract | New photoelectric and photographic photometry in B and V is presented for the globular cluster NGC 6934. The color-magnitude diagram is determined down to V around 18 and is basically similar to that for M3. An evenly populated horizontal branch appears at V(HB) = 16.82 +/- 0.02. The reddening, estimated from the position of the RR Lyrae strip, is E(B-V) = 0.20 +/- 0.02, giving a distance modulus (m-M)o=15.6. Brief discussion of the variable stars and of the cluster luminosity function are included. |
